Sallie Ehrman’s cut-up poetry has been published in Rattle and won an Oregon Poetry Association prize for experimental poetry. She says, “It thrills me to no end that the written word has the power to throw me off kilter as easily as it can get me back on track. I love poetry. I love prompts. I love facilitating poetry. And cut-up poetry is just another way to create that adds visual elements which can influence word choice. I’ve toted scissors, glue-sticks and random texts to a variety of age-related workshops, in a variety of venues, and find the surprise of juxtaposition, due to working with multiple texts, incites laughter and joy.”
