Shannon Rooney

Shannon Rooney grew up in the wilds of Trinity County. Dissolve and Other Poems, published last year, holds imagery from her wilderness experiences. Lotus Guide reviewed her book as follows: “…I…found myself on a journey through the heart and mind of a woman who was sharing her experiences in a beautiful world surrounded by natural wonder. I’ve never felt so ‘invited’ into another person’s quiet thoughts…the next time you feel a little stuck in your office, pick up this little book of poems and take a walk with Shannon.” Shannon has taught writing at Butte College for over ten years.
