Tempra Board is a professional grant writer of nearly two decades, working mostly for environmental and social services nonprofits. She holds a B.A. in English from Humboldt State University. and an M.A. in Communication Development from Colorado State University. When not writing grant applications, Tempra writes creative nonfiction, primarily personal essays, and posts them way too infrequently at temprasays.wordpress.com. For inspiration, encouragement, and homemade soup and cake, she is part of a small writing (and eating) group. She shares a messy home with her partner, David, their dog Jasper, and cat Scrimbles. She also plays tennis like a madwoman.
