Emotional Power from Entry Points

Presenter: Eric Witchey

Every fiction project has a beginning, an entry point. This dynamic, interactive presentation on beginning stories and seeking out the emotional and thematic power early in the project will save hundreds of hours of trial-and-error. The skills presented can be used at any point in the creation process, but they will save authors the most time when used early on. This session will explore how attendees begin their projects and how those many, varied processes for beginning can be slightly altered to capture deeper characterization, themes, and emotional power in the story that unfolds during the writer’s normal processes.
