Emotional Russian Doll Stories Means Readers Laugh and Cry

Presenter: Eric Witchey
This workshop explores how readers internalize the emotions they feel while reading and how writers can make use of that knowledge. Swooper or Basher, Pantser or Plotter, understanding how the reader’s brain builds the story in their heart and mind allows writers to influence the reader’s experiences on a deep level. The session will include some description of brain function, but it focuses primarily on techniques that untangle and manipulate the Russian Doll characteristic of emotion in stories.
