Whether history is a backdrop to your fiction or the focus of the story itself, this workshop will explore some of the tips and tools to help you locate the facts you need, organize those facts efficiently, and integrate them into your work. We will look at how you can respect authenticity and prevent anachronisms, while maintaining true to your creative vision. During the workshop we will practice writing scenes around defining moments in history and utilizing specific historical details that can enhance your scene, further the plot, and put your reader in the time, place, and setting.
