Debby Dodds

Debby is the author of the novel Amish Guys Don’t Call (Blue Moon, June 2017) voted one of Powell’s Best of 2017 and making an Amazon Top 100. She has stories in twenty anthologies, including the NY Times best-selling My Little Red Book (Hachette) and The Things That You Would Have Said (Penguin) as well as: The Sun, Salon.com, xoJane, The Living Dead Magazine, Portland Family Magazine, Manifest-Station.com, Hip Mama. She won “Fan Favorite” at the Wordstock competition in 2013 and won Portland’s Wizard World 2017 Fiction Contest. As an actress she wrote and performed in stage shows at both Disneyland and Disney World, costarred with Jerry Seinfeld in a special, had roles in many independent and horror films and did improv comedy with lots of famous people. She graduated from NYU: Undergraduate Drama and Antioch MFA: Creative Writing. She’s lived in Portland twelve years.
