Lia Deromedi

Lia Deromedi teaches English at Butte College. She received her PhD in English from Royal Holloway University of London. Her doctoral work in Holocaust Literature focused on child protagonists in fiction written by survivors. She has an MA from the City University of New York – Brooklyn College and a BA in Creative Writing from the University of California – San Diego. Lia has published articles and reviews in various publications and presented on Holocaust Literature at conferences in the US, UK, Austria, Germany, and Australia. Also a creative writer, she writes historical fiction about the Holocaust and its peripheries because there are 6 million and more available stories to tell.
